WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you an increase in certain stats. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item, however they'll always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items which can be used to level up weapons and tools, armor and accessories. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for various currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool or armor. button, which displays an item's preview at its next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot for the item and the current item level. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. This is especially true for items like rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, which can only be eligible to take advantage of the discount for all accounts when all of the slots are filled with high-quality gear.
