Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades

Upgrades can boost the power of a piece of gear and, sometimes, even add extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements, and the number of random augmentations can be applied.

The elite racial Shield Razortail, for example, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP or add additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more exchangeable than the non-upgraded perfect version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens let you roll a purchased item such as armor, weapon, or ring. This replaces the item upgrades with another of the same kind and comes with different bonuses. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective method of upgrading gear. However, they do not retain the level of the original item upgrading, and any wasted resources aren't refunded.

Survivors can obtain reroll tokens in several ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be located in crates and chests, or purchased from the market at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to change the attribute of an item for example, increasing its damage.

Players can roll their equipment in three attributes that include physical power, magical power, and health. Upgrades to physical power increase the damage caused by weapons and melee attack while upgrades to spell power upgrade mage attacks and ring. Health upgrades provide the player with an additional level of health.

There are three kinds of reroll tokens: upgrade, rare and legendary. These items can be obtained by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. They can also purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a price. These stones are also available to players who have completed daily contracts.

To upgrade gear, players must first find the item they want to upgrade and then click the "level up" button. The menu will appear showing the item's current level and what it will be after being upgraded as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to accomplish this. The number of Growth Stones needed to upgrade a piece depends on its rarity. Most often rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires a single green or blue Growth Stone.

Once they have decided on the upgrade, players must then select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. The process of obtaining Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty can be a challenge for new players. There are a variety of ways to obtain these stones, such as signing contracts and buying them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from the reward chests of the Ancient Arena season. Additionally players can cut down higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.

Leveling

Leveling is an option that allows you to increase the effectiveness of weapons and armor. You can also upgrade trinkets as well as helms. It is accomplished by adding upgrades at the Upgrade Station, paying a cost of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The process will consume upgrade components and grant the item an upgrade level, giving the item a boost in that area. This process continues until the item reaches its highest level.

Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be slotted into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to give an additional bonus or effect when the equipment is being used. They can be bought through vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, except for glyphs which can be removed and replaced at will.

Requirements

Upgrades to items give players the ability to increase certain stats of armor and weapons that they currently have. The requirements for upgrading an item vary depending on the type of item but generally, you'll need Dilithium and a variety of Upgrade Tokens (various options are available).

The items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to weapons and equipment. These will provide more effects or an improved item level. The upgrades can be acquired through a variety of sources in the game, including through crafting, bought at the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses and raids, or dropped from dungeons. Once an upgrade element is inserted into an item, it isn't able to be removed or replaced freely, however, the glyphs that are used in gathering tools can be swapped without limitation.

Upgrading an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can increase the item's statistics.

For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" boosts the base defense and provides an additional 20% chance of blocking. Additionally the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases weapon damage.

Upgrades can be beneficial for some items, but not because they boost stats. They are more valuable for the players if they can get an exact roll. For instance, a flawlessly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50x the non-upp'd version.

When you select an upgrade component to be inserted into an item the game will display an open window that displays the required requirements. The game will display the required requirements when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.

The game will place an item in your inventory after you have fulfilled the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show you how close to completing the upgrade. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by visiting any item upgrader NPC.
