The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its greatest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, so that you can instruct the robot to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the best buy robot vacuum robot mop we've ever tested. It removes dirt and spills quickly and leaves no trace of it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.

Its design is also superior to the rest and features a sleek, top piece that looks more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place instead of scattering it on the floor. It was able to capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a bit of grit. Most robots could not do this. It did this without getting caught in our pet's hair.

Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying robot vacuum cleaner industrial Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still a solid option for those who need a vac and a mop in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and it's sometimes difficult to determine whether they're working until you see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for an automated vacuum bot cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your best robot vacuum cleaner option is probably one that is a hybrid. These robots come with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. These bots also have many additional features like smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but usually come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock makes some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ does not disappoint. It's their most affordable auto-empty model. While it doesn't have some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing compromise a bit in order to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles such as tables and walls which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a problem which many robot vacuums can really fail. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent and has very few missed corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled with the buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. With the app you can begin and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+ it comes with a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place, emptying the bin is done without difficulty. It also comes with an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when you're setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't essential for the majority of people, but it can help effectively keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design and features are some of the top available however it's expensive.

The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and the size is quite compact. But the station's main selling point is how it automates many tasks and functions that most other robots leave up to you. It can keep clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to do this.

And its vacuuming is impressive, too. It's the only robovac I've tried that does a good job picking up dirt from floors that aren't. It's also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially in the area of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs. This means that it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It can't navigate stairs as well as competitors, either and doesn't come with an dock that allows you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets with plush padding.

Although it doesn't have the same amount of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many shortcuts in the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for an all-around great mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the higher price cost.

If you're looking to cut costs or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are many other options available. Many of the eufy models cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers a similar in-app experience with additional features such as the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of creating robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of carpets and hard flooring, and mopping functions at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. It is recommended to keep the dock near a power outlet and plenty of room cleaning robot for it to move however.

The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it can be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is more modest than other models, and features sleek black finishes and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Clean (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The main feature that distinguishes the G30 above the rest is the method it cleans. It uses an integrated map to make an image of the immovable objects in its path. It remembers what it has already cleaned and where it cannot access. When it needs to recharge, it will automatically return to its base, and then resumes cleaning from where it left off.

The elegant G30 isn't without faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, has similar battery life and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't require to be empty as often and comes with an array of boundaries to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 however is less expensive and much simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't require as frequent emptying and it struggles less with bulky materials such as cereal.
