The front wheels can be locked into a forward position or let them swivel which helps when covering rough terrain. When we walked on the stony path, we let them move and it handled this fairly well although it did seem a little bumpier than others in our test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is known for their all-terrain, 3-wheeler jogging pushchairs, but they also have a wide assortment of strollers with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most popular model. It is easy to fold and fits into the boot of a car even with an attached carrycot.

It's a little heavier than other strollers we test, but the wheels are a rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and durable. It's a breeze to maneuver across all types of terrain. It's easy to move even with two children and a shopping bag.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that are able to be lower to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extension. They are showerproof and sturdy unlike other prams' hoods that get whipped back into toddlers faces.

It does not have much storage space, but it does have an ample basket that is deep enough to accommodate a changing bag or plenty of food. It can also be connected with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for babies up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you need a stroller that can be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an ideal choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next
