EV Star is a zero-emission vehicle that has a high degree of personalization. It's also fully FTA certified and Buy America compliant. It offers class-leading range, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery systems.

GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete line of medium- and heavy-duty all-electric vehicles, including models with lower and high floors. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship vehicle, green power Electric Mobility scooter and it is able to be adapted to meet a variety of applications. The design of the platform is based on a simple paper sheet, which allows for the best positioning of the battery pack and a lower center-of-gravity. This results in higher range/payload ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was developed for Green Power mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The class 4 refrigerated truck's one wall structure inside and higher insulation compared to traditional trucks allows for seamless sanitation, better temperature control and a more extended life. The EV Star REEFERX offers superior capacity for cargo and a top payload-to-range ratio for zero emission passenger transport and goods.

GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system, which will allow fleets to seamlessly transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be capable of wireless charging at 75 kW.

We had the chance to test drive the EV9 for several hours on a local freeway and found it to be easy to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth on ruts and bumps, while the EV9 does an excellent job of reducing wind and power mobility scooter road noise on the highway. The acceleration of the vehicle is astonishingly fast, and it comes with adjustable regenerative brakes to enable "one-pedal driving" simply by lifting off the accelerator.

The EV9 has a wide range and can be charged within three hours or less at home, or using any commercial charger. The driver has the option of choosing between two operating modes: eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode prioritizes torque, cruise control and handling while sport mode focuses on speed. Both modes are enjoyable to drive, and offer an experience unlike any other for those who haven't driven an electrical vehicle before.

In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other electric power scooters vehicles, including a multi-purpose electric minibus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be utilized as an executive shuttle, micro-transit, transit bus, vanpool or paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower produces around 10 EV Star busses a month for Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 electric cars. GreenPower will increase production to meet the needs of the Biden Administration which wants to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS certified. They are Buy America compliant, and ADA certified. They will be eligible for federal transit grants.
