It also has 11 height adjustments that allow it to fit the mattress of almost every size bed. Additionally, it includes adjustable folding feet to ensure it is at the right height.

In terms of safety the cot is cushioned and comes with mesh sides for increased ventilation, while its mattress is made from high-density foam for extra protection. It's also able to be cleaned to keep it clean. Additionally, it comes with a fitted sheet that is suitable for use with the cot.

The Roomie Glide, unlike some other bedside crib with changing table cribs is compatible with all beds including divans. This is due to the clips and straps that attach to it. It can be used as a stand-alone crib if it isn't connected to the bed. It has many wonderful features designed with parent and baby bonding in mind.

One thing to bear in mind is that even though this crib is great for newborns, it won't last long after your baby turns six months old, and you will have to purchase an additional cot. Overall, Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide crib was an excellent buy. She was impressed by its sleek design.

John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a reasonable price for a cot. She liked how it looked in her bedroom and thought its grey color would fit most modern homes. However, she did point out that it's not an ideal idea to rock a younger baby as it could set the stage for bad habits that will affect later sleep patterns.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to ensure a good night's rest. It has a drop-side rail that can be easily lowered for nighttime feeds without having to disturb your little one or get up it's ideal for mothers who are breastfeeding! It's also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or when traveling.

It's made from soft materials and has mesh sides that are breathable to help promote airflow. It comes in charcoal or oak with a range of melange fabrics that can be incorporated with a variety of styles. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure when affixed to her bed with the legs securely snapping into place and the zips secure to ensure safety for babies. It took her around 10 minutes to assemble it and didn't require any tools, with clear instructions and a video or customer support number available if you run into any issues.

The CoZee crib comes with all the features you would expect from a crib for your bedside crib travel, including the ability to attach it to your existing bed using a stay-in place connection system. It also has six height settings. In addition there is an incline feature that can be used to assist babies suffering from reflux or congestion. It's also machine-washable, a must for all the dribbles, vomit and snot that come with having a newborn!

If you want to keep your baby close during the first six months of their life when they're able to go to sleep on their own and independently, the CoZee is a great choice because it can be used as a stand-alone crib, changing table and toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa bed extension kit, it can transform into a cot. While it won't magically put your baby to sleep or feed them, it will rock the baby and take them to school.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of the more expensive alternatives. However, it comes with many excellent features. It's designed to be used as a side sleeper or standalone crib and is suitable from birth to six months. It comes with a new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel and is simple to use, even for one-handed operation. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings as well as retractable legs for a secure fit underneath any bed.

Our testers were impressed by the ease of access offered by the side panel, which can be moved upwards and down with a single push of a switch. This was especially helpful in the evening when feeding time was over, since they could reach inside and pick up their baby without waking them.

The side panel can be lifted on its own however, it's not recommended as this increases the chance of your child falling out of the cot. But, the patented safety locking mechanism means that it will only remain in place when it is attached to the bed of the parent correctly. This feature is fantastic to have peace of mind when you're breastfeeding and require frequent nighttime feeds.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers due to the telescopic legs. It also has tilting functions to help babies who are refluxy and a rocking feature to bring them back to sleep after feeding. It is also very large and offers excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

Our test subjects found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it does have quite a long instruction manual. It's heavier than some of the other side-sleepers, however it's fairly portable and can be moved from room room with ease. It's also foldable into a travel bedside crib bag, which is a great option if you want to transport it. The only thing our test subjects found was that the side panel did not stretch as much as other models. This made it a little harder to see the baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

If you're in search of an ideal bedside crib that can develop with your child, then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth looking into. It's a co-sleeping crib that attaches securely to your bed and can be converted into a stylish cot once your baby is old enough. Perfect for nighttime feedings and strengthening the bond between you and your new born.

Contrary to other models of bedside cribs, the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. Its dual-view mesh sides as well as airflow mattress that is breathable and hypoallergenic maximise airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline can help to reduce colic and reflux while the zip down side makes it easy to feed or comfort your baby throughout the night.

The conversion kit for cots (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you need to begin.
