World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

For example an item upgrades with the upgrade template that is ending in % will gain 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item's level rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons to provide them with a boost in stats or an extra effect. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must be at the very least upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be used. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and can't be used multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade item component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment and some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging ascended gear or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it is used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require the smallest amount of upgrade item Crystals than would be required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of a weapon, or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or by purchasing them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals per.

The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will appear at the time of the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of the extent to which it will improve after a future reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a substantial chance that the item could be obsolete or even break when it fails; a failure to upgrade can ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that can increase or even eliminate the chance of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs buff the effectiveness of all nodes in their radius, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded a variety of ways, and we recommend getting them to level 15 whenever you can.

In the final game you'll find that the best way to improve your gear is to place Glyphs. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and provide a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will require them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus which will boost a specific set of stat nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, therefore it is Best item upgrader to place Glyphs in key spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For instance an Druid should try to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes but also consider placing them near critical damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items allows players to improve the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level requires a different number of components to reach and the cost of upgrading increase as the item is advanced in level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. When enough points have been earned you'll be eligible to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a new item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will get an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This could be a drawback in that it could make the item more expensive if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will come with the level 1 base, and a completely different set of bonus bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, but it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it could waste a lot of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times which increases their value and allowing the player to customize their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). This item can be upgraded several times, increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP, as a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to upgrade the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of the piece, whereas upgrading weapons will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to revert to its initial condition, which requires the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. In addition, the item will lose any bonuses it gained, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with the effect (for example, increased heal over time or reload speed). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded increases its crit chance it will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the item definition and the value is computed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment item could have five upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements than regular gear. For instance they may require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. Regardless, the player will need to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade will require an individual amount of upgrade ingredients.
