WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boosts in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as important for those with lower requirements because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The Item Level Upgrade used to upgrade the item upgrading is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up to date.

The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current level of the gear being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and other items. Players can purchase them from item upgraders NPCs for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any weapon, tool or armor. The button will show the preview of an item's next level of upgrade, if there are enough materials.

Crests

Players have a number of choices when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading.
