It will also send you notifications when the door is left unlocked as well as when the fridge or freezer needs to be defrosted, and when the filter needs to be changed.

It would be nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill it's an option in other GE fridges that allow you to preset how many cups of water you'd like to pour out at once. The fridge displays a countdown timer to show you how much water remains, but it's not as useful as Precise Fill.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for a French door refrigerator that won't cost a fortune, this Frigidaire is a great choice. It's a simple fridge that might not be as attractive as its rivals, but it still has enough features to make a an excellent option. Its most important feature is the temperature adjustable drawer which helps keep food items like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser as well as a good Ice machine that is fast.

Another feature that is worth mentioning is the "Chill Drawer" that sits above the two crisper bins. This drawer lets you direct the majority of the fridge's cooling power into this area, so that you can keep food items that require extra attention. You can adjust the feature using an adjustable slider that is located just on the outside of the drawer. You can also alter the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've found that the general settings work better than the specific ones.

During my tests, I discovered that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent across different areas of the fridge. Temperatures at the top and bottom of the fridge didn't stray much from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within a degree of 36. This is a great performance, but it doesn't quite make it into the top ten in our ratings.
