World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also boost extra bonuses, such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will increase an additional 3% of the previous attack damage each time it is upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor to give them a stat boost or to add an additional effect. They can be acquired through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to a blue level before a component can be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes within a radius around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as you can to level 15.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs, you will need to place them on your equipment. Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to increase the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components in them. This is referred to as "upping". Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and when enough are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrade a piece of equipment, the base item is replaced by the new item. This means that the same armor piece will get a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item upgrader mod also comes with its own bonus. This could be a drawback because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you do not require it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens to be able to do so. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will come with the level 1 base, and a different set of extra bonuses. This can be beneficial, but should not be used frequently as it can waste resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives buffs when the player continuously enters or exits the water. Requirements

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its value.
