World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

For example an item with the upgrade template that ends in % will gain 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons to provide them with a boost in stats or an extra effect. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before the component can be used. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they can't be used multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item upgrader kit [images.google.co.il], which lets players to create stronger versions of the item using less Upgrade crystals than they would need to reach the same level using normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop or collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of the item will be available at the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear even in the event that they don't know how much it will be improved after the reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be expensive, and there is a significant risk that the item may become obsolete or even break when it fails; a failure to upgrade can cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that double or even eliminate chances of failure, and some upgrades that offer the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, which includes any existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as you can to level 15.

You'll often see in the endgame that placing Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your gear. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that will boost a specific set of stat nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, which is why it is recommended to place Glyphs in the most important places on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For example that a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes, but also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes too.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to increase the stats of specific items by introducing upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of an item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When an individual player upgrades the equipment they have it is replaced by a new item. The same armor will receive a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This could be a problem, as it can make the item more expensive if you do not need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens to be able to do so. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, with a level 1 base and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This is useful for certain items, but it's not something that should be repeated often, as it could waste lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides buffs when the player continuously enters or exits water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the max roll by 10 points. This item can be very valuable in PvP, as a perfectly rolled version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to boost the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense, while upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear that can have eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade an item it is given a chance to fail--the failure rate increases the more you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item returning to its original state, which requires the player to purchase more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar on the bar for growth will be reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any gained bonuses such as crit chance, attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it receives a crit chance boost that it will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a typical equipment item might have 5 upgrades with a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players must visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each equipment upgrade requires a different amount of the upgrade ingredients.
