The ability to upgrade items allows players to improve their weapons and equipment with new affixes, increasing its stats base or adding additional perks. To upgrade items, the player must have the item in their inventory and have access to the kiln.

Items with weak bases, like rings, can be upgraded into more robust bases. Items with strong bases, like the Titans of eth have little change in their stats.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components are items that can be used to upgrade trinkets, weapons, armor and gathering tools, giving an attribute bonus or additional effect when the equipment is being used. They can be bought from vendors, retrieved as loot by enemies, or received from chests and missions. Some upgrades have additional cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be at a certain level before they are upgraded.

To upgrade a weapon, armor or other item in the game, players will have to select it and then click the Upgrade button on the toolbar. This will show a preview on the right side of the screen showing what the expected upgrade statistics will be, as well as the required material or component needed to complete the upgrade.
