GreenPower Motor Company produces a full suite of high-floor and low-floor all-electric heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which can be used to accommodate a variety of body designs and upgrades for a variety of applications. The platform's clean sheet design approach allows for the optimal placement of battery packs and a lower center of gravity, resulting in better payload-to-range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to last mile refrigerated deliveries as well as catering applications. The class 4 refrigerated trucks have a single interior wall structure and higher insulation than traditional trucks, allows for seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer life span. The EV Star REEFERX offers superior cargo capacity and an industry-leading payload to range for zero-emission freight or passenger transport.

GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems, which will allow fleets to make the transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star is also capable of wireless charging up to 75 kW.

We had the chance to test drive the EV9 for several hours on a local highway and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The EV9 can block wind and road noise while on the highway. It rides smoothly over ruts and humps. The acceleration is surprisingly quick, and the car comes with adjustable regenerative brakes that allow "one pedal driving" by lifting the accelerator.

The EV9 offers a great range and can be charged in three hours or less at home, Greenpower Electric Scooters or by using any commercial charger. Drivers can select between two modes of operation that include eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode focuses on the torque and cruise control and the sport mode maximizes speed and handling. Both modes are fun to drive, and offer an experience unlike any other for those who have never driven an electrical vehicle before.

GreenPower offers a variety of other electric vehicles that include a multi-purpose all-electric minibus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be utilized as an executive shuttle, micro-transit or transit vanpool, bus or paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower is already producing about 10 EV Star buses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is attempting to replace their fleet of old diesel vehicles with 100 all-electric mobility scooter fastest vehicles. With the Biden Administration planning to electrify school buses nationwide, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet the demand.
