World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The item upgrade lets players boost the gear rating of an item upgrader kit by up 700 points and also give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you bring them to the Kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to increase their stats (like perfect rolled breakpoint armour used in melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons do not change significantly after an upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats such as crit chance, attack damage PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons also come with an unchanging bonus that increases their damage per second. Additionally some weapons come with a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a single unit. This bonus may be more than the damage that a weapon upgrade alone can cause.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue rise until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.

Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. While this is usually a good thing however, it could have negative consequences as well. For items that only see use in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them can make them unusable unless you get a fortunate roll.

Items of armor can also be upgraded to increase their stats. In the case of chests or helms this will increase its defense base while gloves and belts will improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor also offers the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it may roll back to a lower number.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain after upgrading along with the relative value of those stats. This means that a weapon will gain 33% attack damage when it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will be hit 3 times less often as it is an absolute statistic.

A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button with arrows that circle in the menu for items. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few tweaks to your armor could make a an enormous difference in your ability to endure. Certain sets offer massive increases in resistance to curses, poisons, fire, and magic. This makes it easier to get through difficult terrains. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has, the more value you will get from each point of health you possess, so it's important to improve your armor as much as you can.

To improve your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game and in order to unlock each fountain, you have to complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the main quest and the associated fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels and the amount of materials and Rupees required to complete each level will differ. You'll require anything from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, as an example can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which will allow you to stay ahead in frigid conditions with a large number of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded as high as +20 defense, which means you can survive a raid with your friends.

You can't upgrade armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is Best item upgrader to focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical power or the power of spells. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you wear for the final boss battle and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

You can also gain advantages to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally speaking, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be beneficial to have a few improvements to the chest armor and helmets to allow you to stealth around certain monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, give the player with a temporary effect. There are five different types of potions, each with a specific set of effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, increasing their effectiveness. Alternatively the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.

Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by crafting them on a table or in the chest of the Alchemist. The price of upgrades changes depending on what type of potion you want to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level as well as its rarity.

To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI that allows you to select the potion you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they will provide when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.

Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade until you make use of it again or break the bottle in which it is kept. You can also rename the potion by clicking it in your inventory.

There were a few updates to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. Splash potions for instance, now have a duration 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the Best item upgrader hover display. The table of potion can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, as is the case with Java Edition. The same applies to using a potion within a cauldron that is full. This will deplete the potion, and refill the bottle.

In addition, there are simmering potions made with dragon breath and splash potions. Similar to lingering potions, the effect can be extended by adding redstone to it. The potion table is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as the potion of leaping and the decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket can be described as a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to an ornament or object that serves a function but is not important as a thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is used to signify affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades, trinkets can be traded out at any time without losing their stats.

The upgrade vendors can be found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available with gold, tokens or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to buying a new trinket. It can be done by a player for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl of the older one, and have an additional upgrade bonus of 1.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they are not needed and allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold.

In general players should make upgrades to their top-priority items first. This usually refers to the most valuable-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondaries, and finally other gear items that they will not be replacing soon (for example rings or cloaks). When deciding on which items to upgrade, players should also consider the class's preferred stats. For instance If Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should prioritize upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and chest.

Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher ilvl once they are no longer useful and the new trinket will have an additional 1% upgrade bonus. However, a re-upgrade is likely to ruin the previous trinket, unless it is salvaged using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still cheaper than buying an entirely new trinket.
