WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you an increase in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random extra substat is also increased with each upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item level upgrade has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for a variety of currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon, or armor. button, which displays an image of the item at its next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and the current item level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers for example.
