Special features such as through-the-door dispensers, ice machines with higher-end features and flex drawers that can be customized make them stand out from the rest.

We contacted Ladina Schopf - interior designer, architect, and founder of LS Projects - for her tips on how to select the best one. They weighed the capacity of storage and layout and energy efficiency, among other aspects.

GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The name of the series suggests that GE’s Profile series is aimed at those who wish to incorporate cutting-edge technologies into their kitchens. This fridge is loaded with them all, from the Keurig K cup coffee maker in the door, to a clever dispenser of water. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. This fridge is expensive and I was expecting better.

This refrigerator is a good option, despite the slight blip. It comes with a huge freezer compartment, which is quite uncommon in counter-depth french door fridge plumbed door refrigerators. Additionally, it can hold a decent amount of frozen food when as compared to similar models.

The fridge comes with 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment offers 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is on the same as an french door fridge freezer nz door fridge that costs this much. It has a decent sized freezer in the left side. However it's not the biggest one I've seen.

You can adjust the shelves in both compartments to make an individual storage solution. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive. The LED lighting is a nice touch and the inside storage bins have an additional shelf that folds down to allow you to store items that are tall. The drawers have temperature controls that let you set them to Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, however I found their plastic textured coatings a bit difficult on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes the complete set of features you'd expect from a fridge in this price range, including Wi-Fi and app support via GE's SmartHQ software. The app is available on iOS and Android devices and allows you to control your refrigerator from anywhere in the globe. It also comes with many options for customization. It will also send you notifications when the door is left unlocked as well as when the fridge or freezer must be defrosted and when the filter needs to be changed.

It would be great it GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill, an option found in a few GE refrigerators that allows users to choose the number of cups they would like to pour out. It also has a countdown on the fridge display to display how much water you have remaining, but that's not as useful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This refrigerator is ideal for a small household or a kitchenette with a built-in appearance and top-of-the best food preservation.

This fridge was rated as the best in our Refrigerators Test due to a variety of reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained constant at just above 0°F and never fluctuated by more than a fraction, this is crucial to prevent freezing burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well, reaching the temperature that was set for the initial setting within a matter of hours and keeping the temperature constant over the course of our testing.

Bosch has a reputation for high-end appliances and appliances, so it's not a surprise that this counter-depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance with the option of connecting to your home Wi-Fi as well as Bosch's Home Connect platform. The app allows you to control and monitor the refrigerator remotely using your tablet or smartphone. The fridge is a bit expensive, however it has great features and capabilities for the price.

It is important to know the limitations of the fridge. It has a limited shelf space, so you may require some creativity when storing tall items. The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth fridge is a great choice for those who need a lot of space in the space of a compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the fridge features the standard French-door layout, with gallon-sized door bins at each door as well as two rows of spill-capture shelves, and a set of more spacious drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded to provide more space for taller items. You'll also find a full width drawer for deli and an inside water dispenser.

One of the best things about this refrigerator is that the ice maker is inside the freezer, making it easy to move the ice to the refrigerator to use as needed. The freezer has thoughtful design elements, for instance, sliding drawers to help you better organize the placement of your items. It also has a huge bin that can hold plenty of frozen food items and an additional storage bin for ice.

Another great feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. It allows you to manage the refrigerator's temperature and lighting from your smartphone. It's a nice method of monitoring and managing your refrigerator, particularly if you're away from home.

However, while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't necessarily add to the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact it took longer to defrost and chill food in this fridge than some of the others we test. This could be due to the greater capacity.

The other issue we have with this refrigerator is its doors. They have handles that are sunken on the front, which allow smaller people to pull them open from the bottom, however they're not easy for taller people to guide closed without slamming them. It would have been much better to have front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent option for those who want to combine the look of a French door refrigerator with an efficient design. It has a capacity that is higher than average for counter-depth models and also cools evenly. It's also a bit less than the best counter-depth refrigerators that have an ice maker, which can make it a desirable choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth french style fridges Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for an French Style Fridge Freezers Uk door refrigerator that won't cost a fortune, this Frigidaire is a good choice. It has a simple design that isn't as striking in appearance like some of the competitors but it does have enough features that make it a great choice. Its most notable characteristic is the adjustable temperature drawer which helps keep food items like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a large ice maker as well as a water dispenser.

Another nice feature is the "Chill Drawer" that sits over the two crisper bins. This drawer lets you divert a portion of the refrigerator's cooling power directly into this area, which means you can put away food items that need extra attention. This feature can be adjusted using an outside slider that is located inside the drawer. You can also use this to adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge, but I've noticed that adjusting the generic settings tends to produce better results than specific ones.

In my tests, the refrigerator's temperatures were fairly consistent across all areas of the refrigerator. Temperatures at the top and bottom of the fridge didn't stray significantly from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. This is a great performance, but it isn't quite at the top of our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. The fridge can be linked with a smart thermostat in order to obtain more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from grey-bodied stainless with a "smudge resistant" finish. It repels fingerprints and streaks better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
