What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The upgrader for items adds a new widget at the top of the Angel and Cash Upgrade windows. This Manager is a cost of 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no benefit in terms of gameplay other than making it easier to buy upgrades.

Increases the effectiveness of

With an item upgrader you can enjoy numerous bonuses. These could include stats and extra bonuses. These bonuses can be used on weapons, armor and trinkets. They can be used to improve the abilities of a character or add a new element of variety to their appearance.

Certain items come with inherent boo that is less effective when upgraded, like the Goldwrap which gives more slots for potion. These are often upp'd to inject more value into a perfect or near-perfect item.

Costs

Upgrades come with a few associated costs. The first is the upgrade itself. The cost is based on the item level upgrade's new ilvl and the number of perks it receives, and can be expensive. It is also costly to upgrade an item to a better tier (such as Explorer > Champion or Veteran > Heroic).

The second is the cost of the materials needed to upgrade. These items are typically Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons, or specific Mists Of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor Quests. The amount of these materials required is available in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

Upgrades to an item are a complex process that takes time. Based on the magnitude of the upgrade item, it could take up to 8 hours. The base stats of an upgraded item are calculated based on its new ilvl as well as other characteristics. This calculation determines the new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, as well as other vital statistics. In certain cases, an upgrade can grant additional benefits. These perks are offered on a list.

In rare instances, the upgrade will only replace the highest-costing perks. Another way to increase the chance of an upgrade succeeding is to use an Best item upgrade called Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item is beneficial in the event that you have an item or weapon equipment that is at the highest level for its tier or is close to it. It will allow you to upgrade the equipment to the next level without risking breaking.

If an upgrade is unsuccessful, it will be reverted to its original state. This is typically a downgrade, but can also be an upgrade. Keep an upgrade in reserve until you're close to the highest level for an item.

There are several items in the Kafra shop that can be used to boost the likelihood of an upgrade succeeding. You can increase your chances of success by upgrading your equipment multiple times with HD Oridecon and HD Elunium. The success rate will also be enhanced if you boost your chances of receiving a Double Mint by Shoe-Minting five times.

Failure Rate

You can also choose an item with a safeguard, which will protect the item in the event of failure. This protection is not free however the cost will be less than purchasing a new item. The safeguard can be used once per upgrade, and it will not expire unless it is used again.

The interface for the item upgrader can be a little difficult, but it's not impossible to navigate. The main menu is located on the left and the upgrade window is displayed on the right. The arrows to the left side of the UI represent the various phases of the upgrade process. Click the question mark icon to receive assistance if you're unsure what you're doing. The upgrade process can take as long as five minutes.
