The Joie Roomie Glide

The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside cot newborn crib that lets parents co-sleep with their newborn whilst making sure that they're asleep safely. Its smooth gliding motion will help to calm your baby and its unique features allow you to monitor your child without leaving your bed.

The cot's sliding side panel raises and lowers at the touch of the button, making it easy to reach in and soothe a baby in the night. It also comes with 11 height adjustments that let it accommodate the mattress of nearly any size bed. It also comes with adjustable feet that fold down to make sure that it's placed at just the right level.

In terms of safety the cot is padded and fitted with mesh sides for better ventilation, while its mattress is made from high-density foam for additional protection. It's also washable which means you can keep the cot clean. It comes with a fitted mattress sheet that is suitable for a crib.

Contrary to other cribs that are bedside, the Roomie Glide is suitable for most beds, including divans due to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a standalone crib when it's not connected to your bed and it's packed with amazing features that were specifically designed with the bonding between parents and babies in mind.

It is essential to keep in mind that this crib won't last as long after your baby turns six months. You will have to purchase a larger crib. However, overall Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide was a really good buy and she especially liked its elegant design.

John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a reasonable price for such a cot. She also liked how it looked in the bedroom and believed that its grey colour will work well in modern homes. She also mentioned that it's not a good idea to rock a baby in the early years because it could create an unhealthy sleep pattern that can be difficult to overcome later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning bedside crib that was designed with a secure night's rest in mind. It features a drop-side rail that is able to be easily adjusted to feed your child in the evening without disturbing them or forcing them out of the bed. This is perfect for mothers who breastfeed! It is also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or when traveling.

We love the fact that it's made of soft materials that have mesh sides that are breathable, which promote airflow and comfort. It's available in oak and charcoal, with a range of melange fabrics that work well with a variety of decor styles. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure when attached to her bed, with the legs firmly snapping into the bed and the zips secured to ensure baby safety. It took her around 10 minutes to assemble it and didn't require any tools, with clear instructions and a video or support number if you encounter any issues.

Alongside the usual features you'd expect from a crib that is bedside, like being able to be connected to your bed using a stay-in-place connector system and six height levels, the CoZee has an additional incline option which can be used to help alleviate reflux or congestion in infants. It can also be washed by a machine and is a must for all the spills, vomit, and snot that accompany a new baby!

The CoZee is an excellent choice to keep your child in the first six months of learning to sleep independently. It can be used as a cot, changing station and toddler bed. It can also be transformed into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. Although it can't magically bring your baby to sleep or feed them, it will rock the baby and take them to school.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of the more expensive models, but it has a wide array of features. It's designed to function as a side sleeper or standalone crib and is suitable from birth up to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel using the new mechanism. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings and legs that retract to installation underneath any bed.

Our testers were impressed by the ease of access provided by the side panel that can be moved up and down with one click of a button. This was particularly useful at night, as they could reach inside and pick their baby up without waking them up.

The side panel can be lowered on its own however it isn't recommended since it increases the chance of your child falling out of the cot. However, the safety locking mechanism guarantees that it can only stay down when attached to the parent's bed correctly. This feature can be very beneficial for peace of mind if you are breastfeeding and need frequent feedings at night.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed that is divan-based as well as beds with drawers thanks to the telescopic legs. It also comes with a tilting function to help babies who are refluxy and a rocking bedside crib feature to help them sleep after feeding. It is also very large and offers excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.

Our testers found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it does come with lengthy instructions. It's a bit heavier than some of the other side-sleepers, but it's quite portable and can be moved from room room with ease. It's small enough to be able to fit in a travel bag when not in use which is a bonus in the event that you have to transport it. The only issue our testers have found is that the side panel didn't stretch as much as other models. This made it a bit harder to see your baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside cot crib crib is a great choice if you want a crib that grows with your child. It's designed to be a sleep-co-sleeping bassinet that is attached to your bed but also transform into a stylish cot once your baby is ready, it's perfect for night-time feeds and growing your bond with your infant.

Contrary to other cribs for bed, the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. The mesh side panels with dual-view and hypoallergenic, breathable airflow mattress allow for maximum airflow, keeping your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle slope helps ease reflux and colic. The zip-down side lets you to feed your baby or comfort them during the night.

The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you need to start. It took us about an hour to assemble and was relatively simple. The only downside to the instructions was that a few images did not have captions. This made it difficult for us to follow the instructions. However, overall it was an easy process and the quality of materials used was high.

The Shnuggle Air is a great choice for mothers who are nursing or have had a c-section. It allows them to reach out and hold their baby for comfort and feeding without leaving their bed. It's a great option for parents who don't want the burden of putting their infant in a traditional cot or even getting them out of it.

The gliding motion was found to be very beneficial in lulling babies into sleep following feedings during the midday or at night. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies throughout the night. This was a big selling point for our tired test mums. Although it doesn't rock, or come with extra features, like a sound system, the Joie Roomie Glide's elegant design and practicality make it a great addition to our top crib reviews for bed.
