One thing to bear in mind is that even though this crib is perfect for newborns, it won't last long once your little one turns six months old, which means you will require a bigger cot. However, overall Roanna found that the Joie Roomie Glide was a really good buy and she especially liked its elegant design.

The Roomie Glide is available to purchase from John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna considered to be an affordable cost for a cot that has these advanced features. She was pleased with the way it looked in her bedroom and believed its grey color would fit most modern homes. She also mentioned that it's not a good idea to rock a baby in the early years because it can create an unhealthy sleep pattern that can be difficult to overcome later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning bedside crib that was designed to ensure a peaceful night's sleep in mind. It has an adjustable side rail that can be easily lowered to feed your child during the night without disturbing them or getting out of the bed. This is great for breastfeeding mothers! It is also lightweight and easy to move around during naps or for travel cot bedside crib.

It's made of soft material and has mesh sides that are breathable to help promote airflow. It's available in oak and charcoal and comes with a variety of melange fabrics that are compatible with all decor styles. Anna found it sturdy and secure when attached to her bed, with the legs securely snapping into the frame and the zips securely secured to ensure baby safety. It took Anna about 10 minutes to put together and did not require any tools. There are clear instructions as well as a video, and a customer support number if you experience any issues.

The CoZee crib is equipped with all the features you'd think of in a crib for your best bedside cot, such as the ability to attach it to your bed with a stay-in-place connection system. It also has six height settings. Additionally there is an inclined feature that can be used to aid infants suffering from reflux or congestion. It can also be washed in the machine - a must for all the dribbles and snot that come with a newborn baby!

While it won't be able to magically bring your baby to sleep or feed them, it can rock the baby and take them to school.

This is one of Chicco’s more expensive alternatives. It does have a lot of excellent features. It's designed to function as an individual side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable from birth up to six months. It comes with a new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel. It's easy to use even with one hand. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor with 11 different height levels as well as retractable feet for a secure place under any bed.

Our testers loved the ease of access to the side panel that can be lowered and raised with just one push of a button. This was an enormous help in feedings at night as it meant that they could easily reach inside and pick up their baby without disturbing them up.

The side panel can be lowered on its own, but it's not recommended as this increases the chance of your baby falling out of the cot. The patented safety locking system ensures that the side panel will only remain in place when it is properly attached to the parent's mattress. This feature is great for peace of mind if you are breastfeeding and need frequent feedings at night.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed that is divan-based as well as beds with drawers due to the telescopic legs. It comes with a tilting function for babies with reflux, as well as a rocking function to help calm them after a feeding. It's also very large and offers excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.

The cot conversion kit is also well designed, with clear instructions. It includes everything you require. It took us about an hour to assemble and was reasonably straightforward. The only issue with the instructions was that a few images were not captioned. This made it difficult to follow. Overall, the procedure was easy and the materials used were of high quality.

The gliding motion was discovered to be extremely helpful in lulling babies into sleep following meals at night or midday. The drop-down side can be easily accessed to feed or soothe babies in the middle of the night this was a huge draw for our exhausted test moms. While it doesn't rock or have extra features such as a sound machine, the Joie Roomie Glide's elegant design and practicality are a welcome addition to our top bedside crib reviews.
