World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The upgrade of an item allows players to boost the gear rating of an item upgrader mod up to 700 points and add a bonus. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory before heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded for their unique stats (like perfect broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while others like weapons don't change much post upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats such as damage to attack, crit chance as well as PvE and PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. Some weapons also have a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a unit. In some cases this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage that a weapon is able to upgrade on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and current level. For example the weapon with a +2 rating will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue to increase until it is required to use an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons also reroll the stats of their base. While this is generally a good thing however, it could have negative consequences as well. In the case of items that only see use in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance), upgrading them may render them useless unless you get a fortunate roll.

Items of armor can also be upgraded to improve their performance. In the case of chests or helms, it will boost its defense base while a belt and gloves will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also offers the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it may change its roll to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats it will gain upon upgrading, along with their relative values. This means that a change from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in the weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will be hit 3 times less often as it is an absolute statistic.

Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button on the item menu with the arrows that are circling. The item upgrader will be rerolled and alter its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's level nor bind to account status.

Armor

A few upgrades to your armor can make a huge difference to your survivability. Certain sets provide massive increases in poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, making it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the greater defense you can offer your character, the more health you'll gain from each point. So, it's Best item upgrade to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four in total, and each requires you to complete a unique side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've done the main side quest and mastered the corresponding fountain and then you can talk to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.

The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. In general, you'll need at anywhere between three Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the initial upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent one. For example the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a large group of enemies in the majority of cold climates, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded to +20 defense, granting you enough protection to survive the full-on assault with a few friends.

It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll have to focus on upgrading it to gain physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of Mage. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you use for the final boss fight as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.

You can also gain advantages to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades to the weapon that you'll use to win the game. For example the Longsword or Battleaxe. It's nevertheless beneficial to have some upgrades for the chest armor and helmets to let you sneak around some monsters.

Potions

Potions are substances in bottles that, if consumed, provide the user with an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five types of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, increasing their level of effect. The table of potion can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, as is the case with Java Edition. The same applies to using a potion within the cauldron that is filled. This will deplete the potion, and refill the bottle.

In addition, there are simmering potions made using dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone is also added to lingering potions to enhance their effects. The potion table has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added for instance, the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to a piece of art or a decoration that serves a purpose, but isn't particularly significant such as a thimble. In some cultures, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, particularly between family members.

In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Unlike other item upgrades, trinkets can be swapped out at will without losing their stats.

The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrading a trinket is a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new one. One can upgrade a trinket for as little 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same base level as the old trinket but will also have an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

Once the old Trinkets have become not usable, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value with time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold.

In general, players should upgrade their highest priority items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and other equipment that they will not replace anytime soon (such as rings or cloaks). When deciding which items to upgrade players must also take into account the preferred statistics of their class. For example, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers, they should prioritize upgrading their chest, helm, shoulders, and belt.

When they are no longer useful trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The new trinket has an additional 1percent bonus. However, a re-upgrade is likely to cause the trinket to be destroyed, unless it is saved using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still cheaper than buying an entirely new trinket.
