WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the item upgrader mod level by +3. A random substat is also increased with each upgrade.

Upgraded gear generally sees greater value for trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll a perfect version.

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of armor or weapons. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and can't be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in every major city, and is accessible at any time to upgrade your equipment. To keep your gear current it is recommended you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current item level of the equipment being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than buying new gear from other sources.
