How to apply

The process of getting an IMT driving license entails taking a series of theoretical and practical classes. These classes are taught by experienced instructors at government-licensed centers. The course is made up of 28 hours of theory and 32 hours of practical lessons. These classes are offered at various prices, however you can save by enrolling in classes in groups that cost less than $100.

The next step is to take the exam in the form of a theory test. This test is offered on the internet and at public institutions, and lasts about 30 minutes. It consists of 30 multiple choice questions to complete on the computer. The questions are based on the syllabus you learned in your preparation classes. You must answer 27 of the questions correct to pass the exam.

After you have passed the theory test and passed the theory test, you will need to take a test in the practical. You can take the test at a private driving school or at the IMT office. The test costs $30, and the IMT will issue you with a an interim driver's license to use while you wait for your new licence.

You must possess a valid passport, residence card or medical certificate as well as an attestation from the country of birth. The embassy will also authenticate and notarize documents for a fee.
